Congratulations to the project teams of the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel and the Stony Island Arts Bank in Chicago for each receiving a Dreihaus Preservation Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation at the PastFoward Conference held in Houston, Texas last week. Below are the award videos that accompanied the honors.
In a reception held today at the Chicago Athletic Association, the Commission on Chicago Landmarks will honor four MHA Midwest projects among their 2016 Preservation Excellence Award winners. The Commission’s annual Preservation Excellence Awards recognize outstanding rehabilitation projects that involve notable improvements to Chicago local landmarks.
In a field of 12 finalists for ULI Chicago’s 5th Annual Vision Awards, MHA Midwest was the historic consultant for four projects: ARC at Old Colony, Chicago Athletic Association, Hampton Inn (Chicago Motor Club), and Stony Island Arts Bank. These projects represented almost all of the landmark properties that made the list, and are outstanding examples of adaptive reuse and the positive impacts of historic tax credits.
Congratulations are in order for two of our MHA Midwest projects, Infinite Chicago and the Hampton Inn at the Chicago Motor Club, on their wins this past week at the 10th Annual NH&RA J. Timothy Anderson Awards for Historic Rehabilitation.
In Chicago, everyone is invited to be part of the club.
We are pleased to announce that four of our projects from the MHA Midwest office were selected as recipients of prestigious Chicago preservation awards last week. All of these projects utilized the federal historic tax credit as well as city-offered programs to make their rehabilitations a reality.
