Elizabeth J. Breiseth
Associate
Elizabeth Breiseth is an Associate in the Chicago office of MacRostie Historic Advisors, where she prepares state and federal historic tax credit applications, National Register nominations, landmark designation reports, and Section 106 compliance documents for projects nationwide. Prior to joining MHA in 2007, Elizabeth worked as an architectural historian at a historic preservation consulting firm in Washington, DC. There she undertook surveys of historic buildings and districts – ranging in size from one hundred to one thousand properties - and prepared local landmark and National Register nominations. Her National Register credentials include: New York Telephone Company Building (2009), Otis Elevator Building (2008), New Orleans Upper Central Business District Expansion (2008), Monroe Courts Historic District (2008), Arlington Heights Historic District (2008), Virginia Heights Historic District (2008), Aurora Highlands Historic District (2008), Foxhall Village Historic District (2007), Claremont Historic District (2006), Washington Heights Historic District (2006), and Meadow Grove Farm (2006).
During her graduate studies, Elizabeth held an internship with the Federal Emergency Management Agency where she worked on drafting alternate procedures for Section 106 compliance. Elizabeth also worked as an assistant curator at a local history museum in Illinois for two years where she was responsible for collections management, historic research, exhibit design, and education programs.
Elizabeth holds a B.A. degree with joint honors in U.S. History and Religious Studies from McGill University in Montreal and a M.A. degree in Historic Preservation from George Washington University. She is a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the D.C. Preservation League Education Committee. |
