Caroline Wilson is an Associate in the MHA Southeast office, managing state and federal historic tax credit applications for clients in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi.
Prior to joining MHA, Caroline worked for a variety of preservation based organizations including Main Street programs in Georgia and North Carolina. She also served as the Review and Compliance Coordinator for the South Carolina State Historic Preservation Office, where she was responsible for reviewing Section 106 projects for the state. Most recently, she worked with the Appalachian Council of Governments as a Grants Manager and founded Upstate Preservation Consultants, a private firm handling National Register of Historic Places nominations, Federal Historic Preservation Tax Credit projects, and renovation projects applying for South Carolina State Historic Preservation Tax Credits for Homeowners. Some of her National Register credits include the Jacob Bebenbaugh House, Hester Store, Dillon Graded School and Dillon Public School, Converse Mill (Clifton Mill #3), and Prosperity Cemetery.
Caroline holds a Bachelors Degree in Historic Preservation and Community Planning from the College of Charleston, where she served as the president of the College’s Historic Preservation Society and attended the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s annual conference as an Emerging Preservation Leader.
